Exit Interview
Privacy policy for Exit Interview, a local-first single-player game with no in-app analytics, accounts, or advertising tracking during normal use.
This Privacy Policy explains how Hour After ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with Exit Interview (the "App").
The App is designed to operate as a local-first experience. During normal use, we do not receive your personal information, your in-app content, or routine usage data from the App.
If a particular feature, platform integration, or support interaction changes that privacy model, we will describe that difference in a product-specific notice or updated version of this policy.
1. Scope and Applicability
This Privacy Policy applies to Exit Interview and to substantially similar local-first apps or prototypes published by Hour After that link to this policy, unless a product-specific privacy notice says otherwise.
This policy is intended to explain what information we do and do not receive, how the App is expected to function during normal use, and what happens if you choose to contact us directly.
This policy does not override the privacy practices of third-party platforms, operating systems, storefronts, payment processors, backup providers, or communication services that may interact with the App independently of us.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect personal information through normal use of the App itself.
The App may store settings, saved content, progress, preferences, and similar information locally on your device so it can function properly. That local data stays on your device unless your operating system, backup provider, or platform handles it separately.
If you contact us directly, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, screenshots, device details, and the contents of your message.
- No account registration with Hour After is required to use Exit Interview.
- No analytics, advertising identifiers, behavioral tracking tools, or profiling systems are intentionally enabled by us in the App unless a product-specific notice says otherwise.
- No in-app content, gameplay activity, or routine usage data is transmitted to us during normal use of the App.
- We do not require your real name, postal address, or phone number in order to use the App.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
Exit Interview is intended to be local-first. In practice, that means save files, preferences, app state, and similar data are generally written to storage controlled by your device rather than transmitted to servers operated by us.
We do not routinely access, inspect, retrieve, or review locally stored app data. If your platform offers backup, restore, sync, or cloud storage functionality, that functionality is operated by the platform provider or device ecosystem under its own terms and privacy practices.
You are responsible for managing device-level backups, sharing settings, parental controls, and deletion of locally stored app data on your own devices.
4. How We Use Information
Because the App does not collect personal information through normal use, we do not use in-app data for analytics, advertising, profiling, behavioral targeting, or marketing.
If you contact us directly, we use your message only to respond to your inquiry, troubleshoot a reported issue, provide support, evaluate feedback, or address legal and operational matters.
We do not use the contents of your direct communications for unrelated marketing campaigns.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing personal information, we rely on legitimate interests to respond to support requests, maintain communications, protect our products, and manage ordinary business operations.
If you ask us to take a specific action in response to your message, we may process the information you provide as necessary to take steps at your request or to perform obligations connected to that request.
We may also process information when needed to comply with applicable law, enforce our rights, or protect the safety of users or others.
6. Permissions and Device Access
If the App requests permission to access device capabilities such as local storage, notifications, files, audio, camera, or similar features, that permission is requested only so the feature you choose can work on your device.
Granting a device permission does not by itself mean that information is transmitted to us. If the App uses a device capability in a way that materially changes the privacy model described here, we will describe that in a product-specific privacy notice.
7. Third-Party Platforms and Services
The App may be distributed through third-party platforms such as the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those platforms may collect information under their own privacy policies, including information related to your account, purchases, downloads, or device. We do not control the privacy practices of those third parties.
We may also rely on ordinary third-party infrastructure associated with email delivery, domain hosting, store distribution, or payment processing when you interact with us or obtain the App. Those service providers may process limited information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Except for those platform-level or communications-related services, the App is designed to operate without sending information to us.
8. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, broker, or share personal information collected through the App for advertising or commercial profiling because the App does not collect such information during normal use.
If you email us or otherwise contact us directly, we may disclose that correspondence only when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our rights, investigate misuse, or protect the safety of users or others.
If our business, products, or assets are reorganized, sold, or transferred, information contained in direct communications may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
9. Data Retention
Any settings, saved content, or other App data stored by the App remain on your device until you delete them, clear app storage, or uninstall the App, subject to how your device, operating system, or backup provider manages local storage.
If you contact us by email, we may retain that correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, maintain support records, improve documentation, resolve disputes, or satisfy legal obligations.
When retention is no longer reasonably necessary, we will delete or anonymize direct correspondence where practicable.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Because we do not maintain user accounts or collect personal information through the App itself, we are generally unable to access, correct, export, or delete in-app data stored only on your device on your behalf.
You may manage most local App data through your device settings, file system, application permissions, backup tools, or by uninstalling the App.
If you have contacted us directly and want us to delete or update that correspondence, you may request that by email, subject to any legal or recordkeeping requirements.
Depending on where you live, you may also have privacy rights under applicable law in relation to information we receive directly from you.
11. Children's Privacy
The App is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through normal use.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us directly, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it where possible.
12. Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical steps to protect information we receive directly from you, such as support emails or other correspondence.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, especially for information stored or transmitted by third-party platforms you use independently of us.
13. International Use
If you access the App or contact us from outside the country where we or our service providers operate, your communications may be processed in other jurisdictions depending on the email or platform services involved.
Because the App is designed to function locally on your device, any cross-border data processing is generally limited to information you voluntarily send to us or information handled independently by third-party platforms.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational updates. Any updated version will be posted at this page and will take effect on the date shown above.
Your continued use of the App after a revised policy becomes effective means the current version of this notice applies to your future interactions with us to the extent permitted by law.
15. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to contact us about privacy matters, you can email info@lysiu.com.
